The Saint Paul Clothing Center, located on the Church Campus at 1853 West Harrison Boulevard, has served the community for over 40 years by providing free clothing to those in need. Currently the Center serves over 1700 households. And the need is growing.
The Center accepts donations of clothing, linens and other small household items. The director and volunteers sort, hang, size and display the clothing to provide a comfortable atmosphere for clients to shop. Clothing sizes range from infant through adult.
Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00pm-4:00pm and on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00am-4:00pm
Volunteers work mornings and evenings as well as during shopping hours. Clothing drop-off is during these hours. There is a drop off shed as well. Clients learn about the Center through newspaper ads, flyers, client referrals, and referrals from other organizations and churches in Porter County. Volunteers are from Saint Paul and other community churches.
Donations of larger items and furniture may be arranged. Call the Center so the staff may match an items with a client. Sponsoring families or individuals during Christmas is also done at the Center.
